LETS BE HONEST!

This post is a part of the Kinley's Kitna Chain Hota Hai Na Sachchai Mein Campaign announced by IndiBlogger.

LETS BE HONEST! HOW EASY DOES THAT SOUND? BUT DOSENT IT OFTEN GET REALLY TOUGH TO IMPLEMENT? WELL, BUT KINLEY SAYS IT PERFECTLY RIGHTLY, KITNA CHAIN HOTA HAI SACHCHAI MEIN! DO YOU KNOW WHY I THINK SO TOO? READ ON TO FIND!

PEOPLE SAY THAT THERE IS NOTHING MORE HONEST THAN A CHILD'S LAUGHTER! THINKING ABOUT IT, IN A DEEPER SENSE, A CHILD'S MIND IS RAW, AND CHILDREN ARE OFTEN HONEST!(EXCEPT FOR WHEN THEY SAY THAT THEY HAVE COMPLETED THEIR HOMEWORK ON TIME OR THAT THEY PREFER TUITION OVER SPORT:P)
WELL I WAS ONE SUCH CHILD! I STRONGLY RECOLLECT THIS INCIDENT WHEN I WAS IN SCHOOL! SO IT SO HAPPENED THAT THERE WAS THIS ONE TEACHER THAT EVERYONE WAS PETRIFIED OF! WHETHER SHE REALLY WAS SCARY OR NOT(BUT HAD A ROUGH IDEA, AS MY ELDER SISTER HAD EXPERIENCED IT!), I DINT KNOW AT THAT POINT OF TIME, BUT I WAS SOON TO FIND OUT! SO ALL MY SENIORS USED TO GET COLD FEET WHENEVER THEY WOULD HAVE HER AS THEIR EXAMINER. LIKE ALL THEY KIDS OF MY GRADE, I PRAYED TOO THAT I SHOULD NOT HAVE HER DURING MY PAPER! BUT, I GUESS IT MUST HAVE BEEN TOO CLOUDY THAT DAY. OR THE SIGNAL TO HEAVEN MUST HAVE BEEN WEAK, BUT OH YES, I DID HAVE TO RECEIVE HER IN MY EXAM HALL!

SHE CAME IN, HER APPEARANCE I DONT EXACTLY REMEMBER, BUT I STRONGLY RECOLLECT HER BLOODSHOT EYES AND HER FIERCE WRESTLER LIKE PERSONA!WELL, IT WAS ALL GOING PRETTY WELL AS THE BELL RANG AND WE STARTED WITH OUR PAPER! I CONSCIOUSLY MADE SURE I MADE NO MISTAKE--ALL MY STATIONARY IN PLACE, NO LOOKING HERE AND THERE DURING THE EXAMINATION HOURS AND BEING THE ABSOLUTE PERFECT STUDENT, ALL THIS JUST TO AVOID ANY TIFFS WITH HER AND MAKING SURE I DONT HAVE TO FACE HER!
IT WAS ALL GOING SMOOTH, MY FEAR WAS DYING OUT( ALSO PARTIALLY BECAUSE I COULD CRACK A LOT OF ANSWERS IN THE PAPER :p) SO THE BELL RANG AND IT WAS TIME TO SUBMIT OUR PAPERS TO THE EXAMINERS.
YES, I DID EXACTLY THAT, AND WHEN SHE HAD COLLECTED ALL ANSWER SHEETS FROM THE KIDS IN MY ROW, I TURNED BACK TO MY FRIEND TO ASK HER HOW HER PAPER WAS, WITHOUT HAVING TO REALISE THAT THE TEACHER WAS EYEING ME.
NOW, SHE HAD A FAIRLY GOOD REASON, TO SHOW HER TRUE COLOURS! AND, TO MY LUCK, IT WAS ME WHO HAD GIVEN HER A  CHANCE TO DO SO! SHE GOT FIERCE TURNED TO ME AND ASKED WHY I WAS CHEATING, SHE THOUGHT THAT EVEN THOUGH I HAD COMPLETED MY PAPER, I TRIED TO PASS ON THE ANSWERS TO THE THIRD ROW, WHERE THE PAPER HAD NOT BEEN COLLECTED!

SHE THREATENED TO GIVE ME MINUS MARKS. ON MY EXPLAINING THAT I WASNT TRYING TO DO SO, SHE FELT OFFENDED AND TOLD ME THAT I SHOULD EITHER HAVE THE MINUS MARKS ON MY PAPER, OR MAKE A TRIP TO THE PRINCIPAL'S OFFICE WITH HER.

I KNEW I HADNT DONE ANYTHING WRONG. I HAD SPOKEN THE TRUTH. I DONT KNOW WHAT HAD HAPPENED TO  ME THAT DAY , TOO INSPIRED BY MR.GANDHI, I DECIDED TO FIGHT!
I AGREED TO GO THE PRINCIPAL'S OFFICE.
THE MRS. ANGRY FELT ABSOLUTELY OFFENDED, NOT EXPECTING THAT I WOULD CHOOSE OPTION 2, SHE DRAGGED ME TO THE PRINCIPAL'S OFFICE.
I HAD COLD FEET, BUT SOME WEIRD SPARK INSIDE ME, I DECIDED NOT TO GIVE UP. ON OBVIOUS GROUNDS, THE PRINCIPAL DECIDED TO BELIEVE THE TEACHER( AS ANY OTHER PRINCIPAL WOULD).
BUT EVEN THOUGH I HAD LOST AGAINST THE ANGRY LADY, I HAD WON A BATTLE.
THE BATTLE OF TRUTH.
I FELT GOOD, DESPITE HAVING LOST AGAINST HER, I HAD NOT GIVEN UP INSTANTLY.
SOMETIMES SPEAKING THE TRUTH, EVEN HAVING TO KNOW THE CONSEQUENCES FEELS GOOD, DOSENT IT?

Private India!

This review is a part of the biggest Book Review Program for Indian Bloggers. Participate now to get free books!

Well, particularly only three types of books entice me, namely fashion, humour and mysteries! ( Exceptions to these are very few ) So when I actually feel like distressing, I am in search of either of these! On such book is Private India ( James Patterson and Ashwin Sanghi collaboration ) I was pretty excited to read this ( Even though it is just about 450 pages and 116 chapters, it can keep you hooked on to it!)
The story starts typically, with a murder of a Thai Doctor whose body is surrounded by certain objects. Enter, Santosh Wagh, head-Private India ( The Indian Branch of Private Worldwide- headed by Jack Morgan,  who is also a part of the book). The Police comes, but allow Private India to takeover the case on the condition that they get the credit if the case is solved!( Shows the stereotypical nature of Police!) This murder is followed by a series of other murders, specifically women victims only ( Gets you thinking) and each of the victim found with a yellow scarf and certain objects ( Gets you thinking even harder!)
Other characters in the book include Nisha ( right hand of Wagh), Mubeen a medical expert,Hari a technocrat,Mumbai's Underworld Don, politicians, celebrities and Pakistan's ISI as well! The main plot is embedded with another plot! (makes for a good mystery!)
Private India is essentially a part of the Private Series by James Patterson(Which I would like to read) and he tries to add Indian touch to the story, intricately giving details of the city of Mumbai (I can so relate to it and it is something I love about this book as I can visualise the story even better!)
Go ahead, read it to find out whether or not Private India could link the murders and solve the case!

My Beautiful Food!

Well, today let me take you all into a beautiful world, a world of food! So, generally stunning visuals of food make our mouth water and tempt us to either order them or cook them at home! But sometimes words can do all the magic! Does a lovely description of food make you want to eat it? Well, lets give it a thought!
Imagine a perfect Sunday afternoon where the trees dance to the tune of the wind, where the chirping birds are your entertainment, and where you lay on your favourite sofa and then, you are presented with your favourite dish! Ah! What a visual! Heavenly looking pastas, tossed in white sauce topped with a generous layer of cheese ( well which might burn your mouth if you dont allow it to cool :P )and lots of love! The beautiful bell peppers playing around with broccoli and onions in the pasta! And then the rains of herbs and chilli flakes on the favourite pasta dish! How about adding some crispy beautifully golden corn in it? Well, they smell divine! Now, imagine all this served in the stunning 3 IN 1 SQUARE DISH  by BOROSIL! Well, what can be better than food that tastes and looks amazing? The reason why it is called a 3 in 1 square dish is because it performs 3 functions at once i.e STORING, HEATING AND SERVING! And best part? Well, it is MICROWAVE SAFE and is made of BOROSILICATE GLASS! Okay, so done with the main course and want to move on to the deserts? No worries! You just need to fix the lid and put it in the fridge! Easy right? And ofcourse my favourite part of the meal,Desserts! How about having guilt free chocolate pie? Well not really! Because a mix of dark and milk liquid chocolate oozes out as soon as you try to bite into it! This served with some strawberries and ofcourse again in my favourite FLUTED DISH by BOROSIL!

True Indian!

This post is a part of Cricket just got better!Activity by starsports.com in association with BlogAdda.com.

Okay, so needless to say that we Indians are cricket crazy! We love, Love cricket ( not that most of play it, but we are sure to watch it with a tub of buttery popcorn! :P) We not only watch the game, but feel it ( Remember,  how badly we pray when our team needs a six to win?) We breathe the game!

So like most the Indians I too love watching the game! IPL is super fun ( especially in the holidays when you have nothing substantial to do!)

So today I am going to share with you all something crazy that I have done in order to NOT miss a match of cricket!  So last season of IPL was super fun! ( Like ever!:P) and we had 3 tickets to go watch a match at Wankhede!( Like WOW!) And even more exciting  was that it was a Mumbai Indians V/S Kings XI Punjab! ( That means I get to see Sachin Tendulkar! , Remember he played last year?) So all things good till now, but what when you have 3 tickets among 4 people? No one wants to opt out right! So I thought of a way to make my entry definite in the match! I organised my sister's favourite star's movie tickets  with her friends at a premium movie theatre( OKAY, I did this because she is an accountant and dosent believe in wasting money, so in this way there was no chance of her attending the match! :P)

YAY, So I had made my way to watching the match! And I was super duper excited( needless to mention!) I grabbed my seat an hour before it started! And then the rest was crazy fun!

Also have you all seen the new features of starsports.com? #KannaKeepCalm with Pepsi IPL at starsports.com!Are you stuck in traffic and want to watch the match now? Yes there is a solution! Anyone can log on to www.starsports.com and watch the match LIVE without any disturbances! And I love the new Zip Clips which are quick videos that capture key match points in real time! Also on the right hand side of the web  page there is a schedule of upcoming matches, ongoing matches and concluded matches! This way all you cricket crazy people will never miss your favourite matches! And also what I love about the new web page is that you can sign up for FREE VIDEO UPDATES OF PEPSI IPL!( How cool!) Also there is an option of replay!( For all those who want to see the six that has just gone by!)

Live and Love! #MyRoleModel

Hi everyone!
Today I am going to write about something different, something about my role model!

I am writing about #MyRoleModel as a part of the activity by Gillette India in association with BlogAdda.com.

                                                             #MyRoleModel

We often connect the word Role Model to someone who inspires, who we want to be like, someone from whom we learn, who motivates and above all, some who we idolize!
Well, when I am speaking about soo many qualities at once, the first person who comes to my mind is none other than  my very own Grand father! Well, at times I feel proud to call myself his grand daughter, but at the same time, I feel that I have a heap of responsibilities by calling myself so, in order to maintain the kind of humility, prestige, discipline, kindness( And I can go on and on about this qualities) that he has maintained and earned!
His little eyes had big dreams! He was the eldest son of  the family, and a big brother to 10 siblings! Yes,he often tells me his stories which inspire me all the time! Well as mentioned earlier, being the eldest son of the family, he had to shoulder the responsibility of the entire family along with his father! His dad owned a shop, and at a very tender age, it was his responsibility to manage the same! But he knew what he wanted to be! He knew where he was supposed to be! So despite his busy routine and responsibilities, he burnt the midnight oil, studied very hard, and was up early next morning to take charge of the shop! He never complained to his father about the fact that he had to manage both the shop and his studies! Infact, if any of his siblings cried, his dad would give him a shouting, telling him that it they were his responsibility! However, he did not complain! Every one in his family would wonder why he stayed up all night!
He just went on doing what he was! And there! He was the first one in my family to graduate MBBS! Infact he went on to become the Dean of a very reputed Hospital!
Yes, and today when I introduce myself to anyone as his grand daughter, I feel a wave of pride in myself for calling me so!
And if I ever feel like complaining about how tired I at the end of the day, I just think of him in my head!
A disciplined human being, selfless, someone who loves his family unconditionally, hardworking, and someone who I idolize!
YES #MyRoleModel, my Grandfather!
